Иранските државни медиуми објавија дека е погоден борбен авион Ф-15 на САД, како и дека пилотот се катапултирал над југозападниот дел од земјата.
Набрзо беа објавени и фотографии од урнатиот американски авион, а во меѓувреме е објавена и награда за фаќање на пилотот.
На социјалните мрежи се појавија и снимки за кои се тврди дека се од спасувачка мисија за пилотот, но засега нема официјална потврда.
